The next generation Copeland™ ZPSK7 Scroll Compressor is the most efficient two-stage compressor developed in the 100-year history of the Copeland brand. This two-stage scroll compressor lineup, ideally suited for residential and light commercial HVAC applications, offers ultimate comfort while assisting OEMs with meeting new 2023 Department of Energy (DOE) regulations. Usage of the two-stage compressors in heat pump applications assists with building decarbonization goals for heating and cooling while also consuming less energy. With more than 200 million scroll compressor installations and a history of rigorous product testing and extensive research, Copeland compressors offer a reliable solution to enhance system efficiency.
Meeting the upcoming efficiency and refrigerant regulations, the innovative Copeland ZPSK7 scroll compressor allows OEMs to effectively meet their design targets for 2023 efficiency standards and the A2L refrigerant version of these compressors will utilize the lower GWP refrigerants to meet 2025 standards, while delivering improved comfort and energy savings for home and building owners. This can be implemented across a wide range of residential and light commercial HVAC applications including heat pumps, split air conditioning, packaged systems, rooftops, and geothermal systems.

At part-load capacity, systems with Copeland ZPSK7 two-stage compressor can run at lower capacity without stopping, ensuring air continues flowing over the coil and the filter. In addition, this two-stage modulating compressor also gives systems the ability to adjust capacity to match the load, resulting in longer run times at higher efficiency to maximize comfort.
